Recipe: Yummy Tapioca Masala Balls

One of the recipes I make with tapioca is this tapioca masala in a coconut and spices medley. You can cook Tapioca Masala Balls using 9 ingredients and 5 steps. Here is how you cook it.

Ingredients of Tapioca Masala Balls

  1. You need 250 gm of Tapioca.
  2. You need 100 gm of Onion.
  3. Prepare 1 of Green chilli.
  4. It's leaves of Curry.
  5. You need 1 teaspoon of Fennel seeds.
  6. It's 1/4 teaspoon of Turmeric powder.
  7. You need 1/2 teaspoon of Chilli powder.
  8. It's of Salt as required.
  9. It's 2 tablespoon of Rice flour.

I also make a tapioca stir fry and mashed tapioca which I will share in some time. Add the tapioca, chaat masala, ground peanuts, and juice of half the lemon and toss. This happens pretty quickly so keep an eye and don't be afraid to taste test! When the balls are soft and have lost any bite, they are ready.

Tapioca Masala Balls step by step

  1. Cook the tapioca. Once cooked, grate it and keep aside.
  2. Chop onion, green chilli, curry leaves. Add these and fennel seeds to the grated tapioca.
  3. Add turmeric powder, chilli powder and salt. Mix everything together.
  4. Add rice flour. Combine everything well and bring to a dough consistency.
  5. Apply oil onto your palm. Shape the dough into small balls. Fry these in oil. Serve hot.
