This mango burfi has perfect balanced flavor of mangoes and coconut. This is not the kind of burfi that sets hard like mawa chocolate burfi. It has fresh coconut as well as moisture from mango puree. You can have Mango mithai using 8 ingredients and 3 steps. Here is how you cook it.
Ingredients of Mango mithai
- You need 250 gram of soft khoya.
- You need 250 gram of fresh cottage cheese(paneer).
- It's 3/4 cup of sugar.
- You need 2 cups of mango pulp.
- It's 8-10 of saffron Strands soaked in 2 tbsp milk.
- It's 2 tbsp of milk powder.
- You need 2 of cardamom crushed.
- It's Handful of sliced almonds for garnish.
So It will hold the burfi shape but still soft and moist, juicy just like kopra pak or coconut barfi. I have used pistachios on top as a garnishing. Hi Today I'm sharing a sweets recipe that is Mango mithai. This is an easy recipe having perfect hint of mangoes.
Mango mithai step by step
- Blend mango pieces to get smooth mango pulp(I have used original alphanso mango pulp)you can used ready mango pulp also which we get easily in market...Add sugar and start cooking on low flame for 10 min...Add khoya and paneer (crush the paneer properly) to mango pulp..add saffron stands soaked in milk and cardamom powder..and milk powder.
- Continue cooking on low flame until it starts coming together...Stop cooking once it stops being sticky....
- Place it in a greased tray to set for few hours.Cut in pieces,garnish with almonds and saffron stands...
